Fact-based information is a prerequisite for democracy

FactYou was born from a simple observation: Finnish public debate suffers from a shortage of facts. Taxation, municipal finance, and public spending are discussed widely — but rarely with numbers.

What we do

We turn complex statistics and budget figures into understandable articles and interactive calculators. All information we publish is based on official sources: the Finnish Tax Administration, Ministry of Finance, Statistics Finland, the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, and Tutkihallintoa.fi.

Independence

FactYou does not receive party funding and is not a mouthpiece for any political or economic interest group. We do not sell advertising. We do not take a stance on whether taxes should go up or down — we only show how things currently are.
